Chandler sits about 22 to 25 miles southeast of Phoenix, a little over half an hour down US 60, and the only RV park verified inside the city is age restricted.

Hacienda Solano in Chandler publishes a 55 and older rule, which rules it out for anyone travelling with children. The workable pitches are east and northeast of the city, in Apache Junction and northeast Mesa.
Campground USA RV Resort: 2851 South Tomahawk Road at Apache Junction, a commercial park that calls itself an all ages RV park in its own words. It lists 129 full hookup pitches described as big rig friendly, although no maximum length figure is published. Telephone 480 877 8880 to confirm what will fit.
Lost Dutchman State Park: Northeast of Chandler below the Superstition Mountains at Apache Junction. There are 135 pitches plus three group areas, 68 of them with water and 50, 30 and 20 amp electric, and the state says it applies no size restrictions on RVs. Stays run to 14 nights in any 30 days, generator hours are 8am to 10am and 5pm to 7pm, and entry is 10 to 20 dollars per vehicle.
Usery Mountain Regional Park: 3939 North Usery Pass Road in northeast Mesa. 73 pitches with water and electric and a published limit of RVs up to 45 feet, though the amperage is not published. The Maricopa County fire ban runs from 1 May to 30 September, and gates close at 9pm in summer and 8pm in winter. Telephone 602 506 2930.
Confirm current availability, amperage and pitch length directly with each park before you travel.

Chandler's draws are civic rather than scenic: a free city museum, two very large parks and a downtown built around a historic square. Veterans Oasis Park in particular is worth an early start, since its water and wildlife are best before the heat arrives.

A Chandler trip is a base and commute arrangement, because the pitch will be somewhere east of the city rather than inside it. That takes the pressure off manoeuvrability and puts it on what the unit is like to sit out a hot afternoon in. Our RVs are based in Phoenix and the range runs from 145 to 440 dollars a night. The Class A motorhome is the most house like of them, the Class C is the easiest first drive, and the large bunkhouse travel trailer is the least expensive if you have a vehicle rated to tow it. Send us your dates and we will tell you what is free and what it costs. View available RVs or Contact the AZ RV Rentals team.
