Scottsdale sits about 12 to 19 miles northeast of Phoenix depending on which mapping source you trust, roughly 20 minutes out along McDowell Road.

The city's own event complex is the surprise here, because it keeps hundreds of RV spaces open to the general public all year rather than only on event days.
WestWorld of Scottsdale: 16601 North Pima Road, the city owned equestrian and event complex. It holds 398 permanent RV spaces spread across eight lots, with water and electric at each, although the amperage is not published. It is reservable by the general public year round, no age restriction is stated on its own pages, the rate is 57.01 dollars a night and the stay limit is 14 nights in any 30. Telephone 480 312 6802.
McDowell Mountain Regional Park: A Maricopa County park at Fountain Hills, northeast of the city. The E.I. Rowland campground has water and 20, 30 and 50 amp electric but no maximum length is published, while the separate Ironwood campground is capped at 16 feet with no hookups, so ask which one you are being booked into. Telephone 602 506 2930.
Usery Mountain Regional Park: 3939 North Usery Pass Road in Mesa, southeast of Scottsdale on the far side of the McDowells. 73 pitches with water and electric, and the county publishes a limit of RVs up to 45 feet. Gates run 5am to 9pm in summer and 6am to 8pm in winter. Telephone 602 506 2930.
Confirm current availability, amperage and pitch length directly with each park before you travel.

Scottsdale runs from a walkable old town core out to 30,000 acres of protected desert on its northern edge. The city's own preserve pages are blunt about the season: triple digit temperatures are close to daily from May through September, so hike before 10am or after 5pm.

Every unit is based in Phoenix, so a Scottsdale trip starts with a short run northeast rather than a long haul. The fleet covers Class C and Super C motorhomes, a Class A motorhome and a large bunkhouse travel trailer, and nightly rates across those types run from 145 to 440 dollars a night. Sleeping capacity goes as high as ten in the Super C. If you are heading for WestWorld, the deciding factor is usually length rather than hookups, since the complex publishes neither an amperage nor a maximum size and books across eight separate lots. Availability depends on the individual RV and your travel dates, so start from the current listings. View available RVs or Contact the AZ RV Rentals team.
