Surprise is about 22 to 29 miles northwest of Phoenix depending on the source, roughly 40 minutes out Grand Avenue, and both of its RV resorts are age restricted.

Happy Trails Resort and Sunflower RV Resort both publish a 55 and older rule, and Happy Trails is a deeded lot community rather than a transient park in any case. The nearest all ages pitches are the two regional parks either side of the city.
White Tank Mountain Regional Park: 20304 West White Tank Mountain Road at Waddell, immediately southwest of Surprise. 40 pitches with water and electric and a published limit of RVs up to 45 feet, plus the separate Willow campground capped at 16 feet with no hookups. Amperage is not published. The trailhead staging area is closed from 13 April to 30 September 2026.
Lake Pleasant Regional Park: 41835 North Castle Hot Springs Road at Morristown, northeast of the city. 148 developed and semi developed pitches across three campgrounds, the largest being Desert Tortoise with 74 and Roadrunner with 71, with water and electric at the developed sites. Neither amperage nor a maximum length is published, so telephone 602 506 2930 with the length of your unit.
Pleasant Harbor RV Resort: 8708 West Harbor Boulevard on the Lake Pleasant waterfront at Peoria. 253 full hookup pitches plus 60 partial and further dry camping, and it explicitly welcomes guests under 55. Telephone 623 235 6140.
Confirm current availability, amperage and pitch length directly with each park before you travel.

Surprise is a young city and most of what visitors come for sits in one civic cluster on North Bullard Avenue, with the ballpark at the centre of it. Spring training brings road closures with it, so check the dates before planning a drive through in a large vehicle.

Surprise is the longest drive of the West Valley cities on this list, so it pays to pick a unit you are happy covering that distance in twice. The fleet covers Class C and Super C motorhomes, a Class A motorhome and a large bunkhouse travel trailer, from 145 to 440 dollars a night. White Tank Mountain publishes a 45 foot cap that takes any of them, while Lake Pleasant publishes no length figure at all. If nobody in the party wants to drive a large vehicle, ask us what the options are for the trailer. Send your dates and party size and we will confirm what is available.
